That clout is certainly in evidence on the national bestseller charts. This week, we have two new bestsellers in this category: Rewriting History by Dick Morris and Joe Wilson's The Politics of Truth: Inside the Lies That Led to War and Betrayed My Wife's CIA Identity—A Diplomat's Memoir. Morris's book, from Regan Books, has 150,000 copies in print after five trips to press. The former Washington insider is very critical of Hillary Clinton, and he has done at least 60 interviews in the book's first week in the stores. He is just beginning his 12-city cross-country tour. Carroll & Graf, publisher of Wilson's book, reported 130,000 copies in print, and Wilson, too, has had a hectic media promotion schedule.
