The London Book Fair used the Frankfurt Book Fair to confirm rumors that it will have a new venue beginning in 2006. LBF (which is owned by Reed Elsevier, parent company of PW) is moving to the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, which it calls the "newest, largest and most versatile exhibition space in London." It called its partnership with its previous host, the Olympia Exhibition Centre, "long and successful," but cited space concerns as the reason for the move. The fair said space sales to exhibitors were up nearly 20% in the past five years and bookseller attendance rose 55% in the period.
