A memoir of his disastrous years of addiction to drugs and drink and his eventual recovery by William Cope Moyers, son of famed broadcaster and author Bill Moyers, was bought for Viking by Pam Dorman. It was Moyers père himself who discovered his son lying derelict in a crack house after deserting his family, and helped him start a journey to recovery; he now lectures widely on addiction problems for the Hazelden Foundation, of which he is an officer. The book, for publication next year, will be co-written with Katherine Ketcham and was bought for North American hard/soft rights from Amy Williams at Williams McCormick.
