Tweed to Trident Media



Elizabeth Tweed has joined Trident Media Group as a literary agent. Most recently at Kneerim & Williams, where she spent the last two and a half years, Tweed began at Curtis Brown.

Running Press Promos

Diana von Glahn and Jennifer Leczkowski have both been promoted at Running Press. Von Glahn has been moved up from associate editor to editor and Leczkowski from associate managing editor to managing editor.

Drucker Joins Bookspan

Heather Drucker has been named publicity director at Bookspan. Arriving from Kodansha, where she was publicity manager, Drucker will step into the newly created position to work on campaigns for the company's book clubs as well as maintain relationships with contacts within the industry.

Ballantine Gets Moench

David Moench has been tapped to take on the role of publicity manager for Ballantine's Del Rey imprint. Most recently a senior publicist for Holtzbrinck's Tor, Forge and Starscape imprints, Moench has worked been involved with campaigns for Douglas Preston, Cory Doctorow and Allan Folsom, among others.

McAden to Scholastic

Abigail McAden is set to spearhead Scholastic's teen paperback line, Point, as editorial director. McAden, who will join the company March 6, will report to v-p and editorial director Craig Walker; she was most recently an executive editor at HarperCollins.

Free Press Nabs Loose

Emily Loose has been named senior editor at Free Press. Loose, who arrives from Penguin Press, has edited such bestsellers as Charles Fishman's The Wal-Mart Effect and David Corn's The Lies of George Bush.

Desmond Joins Crown

Sean Desmond has joined Crown as a senior editor, focusing on politics and history. He arrives from St. Martin's Press, where he's worked for the Thomas Dunne imprint for the past five years, after stints at ICM and Norton. In addition to publishing his own novel, Adam's Fall (which was adapted into the Paramount film Abandon), Desmond has worked with bestselling authors Peter Biskind, Terry McAuliffe and Ralph Nader.

Small Up at RH Children's

Shanta Small has been promoted from senior publicist to publicity manager at Random House Children's Books. Small, who will continue to report to Melanie Chang, has worked with a number of bestselling authors, among them Carl Hiaasen, John Feinstein and Tamora Pierce.
