Sean McDonald at FSG landed world rights, in an exclusive submission, to The Reverse Centaur’s Guide to Life After AI, by sci-fi novelist, blogger, and tech activist Cory Doctorow (pictured l.), from Danny Baror at Baror International. According to the publisher, the book “aims to rethink how we think about AI, addressing the myths that underlie the so-called age of AI and resetting the focus on how to make what can be a powerful and delightful technology work for us, the users with actual intelligence.” Publication is set for fall 2026.

Thomas Gebremedhin at Doubleday picked up world rights, in an exclusive submission, to Johannes Lichtman’s Mosquitoes from Chris Clemans at Janklow & Nesbit. The novel, per the publisher, follows “an American journalist and an older, Swedish mystery writer, whose lives intersect over a single spring day.” Publication is scheduled for spring 2027.
Sandy Gilbert at Rizzoli secured world rights to Feeding Friends and Family by Maya and Dean Jankelowitz, co-owners of New York City restaurant Jack’s Wife Freda, from William Clark, who has an eponymous agency. The book, per the publisher, includes 75 recipes “with the Mediterranean flavors, South African influences, and Jewish comforts that are the restaurant’s hallmark.” Release is planned for summer 2026.
Toni Kirkpatrick at Diversion took world rights to The Speculative Detective Agency by Matthew David Goodwin and Richie Narvaez, who were unagented. The anthology, per the publisher, comprises “linked stories featuring the agents of a global organization who slip between dimensions and know the hidden pathways and arcane laws of the supernatural underworld,” with contributors including Lincoln Michel and Amber Sparks. Release is set for fall 2026.
Kristin Sevick at Minotaur netted North American rights, in an exclusive submission, to Liar’s Creek by Matt Goldman from Jennifer Weltz at the Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency. The novel, the first in a planned series, follows Clay Hawkins, who returns to his Minnesota hometown after 20 years and teams up with his 12-year-old son and ex-sheriff father to find his uncle, who has mysteriously disappeared. Release is set for April 2026.
Marilyn Kretzer at Blackstone took world English rights to a romance duology by Max Monroe from Mark Gottlieb at Trident Media Group. Alex Hawthorne Is a Liar sees “a grieving woman return to her Southern hometown and rekindle a romance with her first love—only to discover a manuscript that may unravel everything.” Publication is set for fall 2026. The second novel, Hattie Clarke Is a Homewrecker, is planned for spring 2027.

Anne Groell at Del Rey preempted North American rights, in a two-book deal, to Becky Jenkinson’s Wildflower, a debut novel about a magical florist who teams with a sorcerer to gather powerful flowers and uncovers a conspiracy, from Stella Giatrakou at the U.K.’s Bonnier Books, for a June 2026 publication.
