PW has begun adding audio clips to the web presentation of its book reviews. The clips are embedded not only in the review of the audiobook, but in reviews in other formats as well. The first publisher to take part in the program is Penguin Random House, which has supplied PW with access to more than 8,000 samples of audiobooks.

"Listening to a sample from an audiobook has long been one of the most powerful marketing and sales tools for the format, and we're pleased to partner with PW to provide booksellers, librarians, and others in the industry the opportunity to hear clips from our audios alongside their reviews,” said Amanda D'Acierno, president and publisher of Penguin Random House Audio

Visitors to publishersweekly.com can listen to the clips anytime they access a PW review of a PRH book that features the clip. PW's website receives more than 1.6 million unique visitors every month, and our reviews receive more than 1 million monthly visits. Readers can also order a book directly from a review through IndieBound, B&N.com, and Amazon.

"We are pleased to enhance the value of our reviews by adding audio," said PW executive v-p and publisher Cevin Bryerman. "We are eager to add audio clips from other publishers to their reviews."
