Little Brown Spark, Hachette’s newly launched health and science imprint, is teaming with Bluebird, an imprint at Pan Macmillan UK, to simultaneously publish Marie Kondo and Scott Sonenshein’s Joy At Work: The Career-Changing Magic of Tidying Up in spring 2020.

The book was acquired at auction for North America rights by Tracy Behar, v-p, publisher and editor-in-chief of Little, Brown Spark, and for the UK/Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) by Carole Tonkinson, publisher of Bluebird. Marie Kondo was represented by Neil Gudovitz of Gudovitz and Co. Literary Agency, and Scott Sonenshein was represented by Richard Pine of InkWell Management.

The new book is an extension of Kondo’s internationally famous method of tidying and organizing space applied to the work and office environment. Her cowriter Scott Sonenshein is professor of management at Rice University School of Business.

Kondo’s best-known work, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, has sold more than eight millions of copies around the world.
