At Macmillan's trade sales division, Jennifer Edwards has been named VP of field sales, diversified sales, and sales strategy, and Shawn Foster will join the company as VP of children’s sales, reporting to EVP of sales Tim Greco. The changes in the sales structure follows the late January departure of Jennifer Gonzalez, who resigned as president of sales to join Sourcebooks as SVP and publisher of Sourcebooks' children's group.

Edwards has been with Macmillan since 2006, where she most recently served as VP of children’s sales, and has been "instrumental in the launch of key titles and the development of sales strategies and team growth," the company said in a release. Foster joins Macmillan from Hachette Book Group, where she was VP of children’s sales. In their new positions, Edwards will focus on the sales strategy for adult publishers, with Foster succeeding her in overseeing children's sales at the company.

“We are at a pivotal moment in our journey to shape the future of book sales, and I’m thrilled to expand my role at Macmillan during this time,” Edwards said in a statement. Foster added: “I am truly excited to join Macmillan and to have a part in the children’s team's future successes.”
