Penguin Random House Publisher Services (PRHPS) today announced a multi-year worldwide sales and distribution agreement with comics and graphic novel publisher Oni Press, beginning on August 1.
PRHPS will sell and distribute Oni’s frontlist and backlist trade books, as well as single issue comics, exclusively across all sales channels.
“As the gold standard for both book market and direct market distribution, we’re proud to partner with PRHPS to increase the reach for Oni’s distinguished, award-winning library and hit the ground running in support of what is sure to be the company’s most formidable line-up of new releases across our long history,” David Steward II, chairman of the Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group, said in a statement.
Oni was one of many publishers that had its distribution partnership with Diamond upended when the company declared bankruptcy last year. It joined a consortium of presses in filing a formal complaint against the company, which is now in the midst of selling off its assets via Chapter 7.
PRHPS also had a partnership with Diamond, which it terminated in May 2025.
The new distribution deal will immediately precede two of Oni’s most anticipated publishing launches for the coming year—a tentpole series for Matt Kindt’s Flux House imprint in August, and the first installment in Oni’s new Archie Comics publishing program, in September.
