Thomas Nelson has named Shannon Marchese to lead its children’s imprint, Tommy Nelson, as v-p and publisher. She will join the organization on April 13 and will report to Laura Minchew, senior v-p, children's and gift group publisher for HarperCollins Christian Publishing.

Marchese, who most recently served as executive editor at Penguin Random House’s Christian imprints WaterBrook & Multnomah and Convergent, has spent 18 years in publishing. In her new role, Marchese will be responsible for the long-range strategic plan for Tommy Nelson, according to a press release. She will work to acquire new authors and brands, manage the publishing process, and maximize the extensive backlist.

“[Marchese] is passionate about inspirational children’s publishing, and we are delighted to have her lead Tommy Nelson in this important time,” Minchew said in a statement.
