Collective Book Studio Transitions to S-Corp
The Collective Book Studio has transitioned its corporate structure from an LLC to an S-Corporation, formalizing its executive leadership team to “support continued expansion and long-term strategic development,” per a press release.
Effectively immediately, Angela Engel, the company’s founder, will serve as CEO in addition to her role as publisher, guiding the company’s creative vision, strengthening author and partner relationships, and shaping long-term business strategy. Aside from her role as associate publisher, Elisabeth Saake, who has been with the Collective Book Studio since its inception, will also serve as COO, overseeing the publishing list while leading company-wide operations, infrastructure development, and strategic growth initiatives. Dan Engel will continue in his role as CFO.
Since its founding, the woman-owned, full-service publishing studio has worked with such authors as Fran Hauser, Elisa Kleven, and Micah Siva. The company also published The Fly Who Flew to Space and The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea, Lauren Sánchez Bezos’s children’s book series. In January, the Collective Book Studio announced the launch of Tiny Torch Books, a new imprint led by Rebekah Lovato Piatte devoted to creating and publishing children’s books for ages 0–8.
