To commemorate Audiobook Month, the Audio Publishers Association (APA) is orchestrating a blog tour as a part of its June Is Audiobook Month campaign (JIAM), during which 31 different websites will give away an Audie-winning audiobook each day in June. On social media, the organization and individual publishers have encouraged authors and narrators to spread enthusiasm for audiobooks through whatever mediums they use to reach fans using the hashtag #audiomonth.

Here’s how some audiobook publishers are observing JIAM:

Simon & Schuster Audio will have a Facebook sweepstakes for Dork Diaries 7 by Rachel Renée Russell. The grand prize winner will get four tickets to see the book’s narrator, Jenni Barber, in Wicked on Broadway, complete with a backstage tour. S&S will also have Twitter giveaways throughout the month on popular titles.

Tantor is having a 50%-off sale on 2014 Audie Award nominees and daily giveaways of goodies like signed copies and new releases, announced via Facebook and Twitter. GoodListens.com will feature free first chapters, exclusive author interviews, and sample clips.

Random House Audio has created the “What Kind of Listener Are You?” quiz campaign on Facebook, as well as a sweepstakes correlated with the quiz. In addition, listeners can play RH’s Audiobook Bingo game by scratching off boxes on a card, with the boxes corresponding to the various day-to-day tasks they perform while listening to audiobooks.

Macmillan Audio is running numerous giveaways on Goodreads and through its own social media channels, starting with Save the Date by Mary Kay Andrews, narrated by Kathleen McInerney.

Hachette Audio is giving away promotional items like a flashlight with a bestselling nonfiction download card and a steel water bottle. An ad in the MLB All-Star Game Program will feature a promo code that allows fans to listen to Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay deliver an excerpt from the audio edition of Mariano Rivera’s The Closer.
